General Finance Hutchings Pianos accept a range of GE credit cards. The most popular card for piano purchases is GE CreditLine, providing two interest free options. The first one - called Interest Free - requires minimum monthly repayments. While the minimum repayments won't pay the balance completely, it does make it easier to pay off the balance before the interest free period ends (6, 12 or 24 months). The other type – Buy Now Pay Later – gives you 6, 12 or 24 months interest free, where you don't have to make any monthly repayments. Use that time to pay the balance in full before the interest free period ends, and you won't pay any interest at all. Apply in store, or read more and apply online here. |

Yamaha Piano Awards Yamaha seeks to help schools with under-developed music programs, and regional schools and communities with a lack of music facilities, by providing new pianos to schools across Australia. The school or community-based venue that demonstrates the greatest need to create or expand their music program – or improve the general musical life of the area – will be the recipient of a brand new Yamaha piano. Music Council of Australia The Music Council of Australia compiles a list of grants and funding opportunities available to musicians and organisations in Australia on their website. It is not an exhaustive list, but you can subscribe to their e-Bulletin and receive notification of any updates by email. Visit their website. |
| Music Scholarships Although not specifically related to purchasing a piano, a number of high schools and colleges offer music scholarships, helping make music education more affordable. It is worth asking or conducting some online research into schools with the best music programs in your area. One online resource you can use is the musicteachers.com.au website. They list and promote some scholarships available. Visit their website. |
